How decision-makers’ sense and state of power induce propensity to take financial risks

We present two studies (N1 = 104, and N2 359) investigating how sense of power (trait) state affect participants’ risky financial decisions in the domains investment gambling. Moreover, we explored whether a situationally induced moderates relationship between propensity to take risks. The demonstrated that level was positively associated with riskiness portfolios gambling choices. A similar pattern observed when power/powerlessness induced: participants high-power conditions took greater risks than did those low-power conditions. Importantly, found an interaction trait power.
